INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION URBAN LEISURE PARK - GRIES, CANAZEI [TN] // 2009

The project's priority is the functional, formal and fruition rehabilitation of Gries park, through a series of organic and systematic actions that want to enhance qualifying aspects and integrate them with new meeting spaces, socializing functions, pooling structures for citizens and tourists. The intention is to design a park that meets meets recreational, relational, cultural and sports needs, in a system of paths, resting-meeting places, multi-purpose facilities and green in a direct relationship with Canazei center and the near sports facilities.

Redescovering the area naturalistic features means also mantain its architectural features and their inclusion into a functional and rationalized system of public green, that firmly characterizes the area but at the same time maintains its mountain vocation. [...] A human-scale park.
